Free School Meals has changed
We wanted to provide further information regarding the changes to the Free School Meals eligibility criteria that came into effect this month.
The good news is that more children may now be eligible for free school meals, as families receiving Universal Credit will be able to qualify regardless of household income.
We strongly encourage all parents and carers to check their eligibility by using the Free School Meals checker below. As an extra bonus, if you are found to be eligible and your result states ‘Targeted or Pupil Premium’, the school also offers financial support towards trips, residential visits, wrap around care (Jack in The Box) and after school clubs.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will continue to receive Universal Infant Free School Meals as usual, but to qualify for the ‘bonus’ offer above, you would still need you to use the online checker to confirm eligibility.
It only takes a couple of minutes to complete, so please take a moment to apply and make sure you don’t miss out!
If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
